Make A Will

Make a Will

1.Gather all necessary information that will be needed to prepare your will. You may choose to utilize our Wills Guide. It will assist you with gathering your personal information and organizing your objectives. Download and print guide here.

2. Set an appointment with a qualified attorney that knows the laws of your state and can wisely advise you on proper estate planning. This is the preferred method of preparing a will. However, there are also online services and software that people buy to write their own will. If you decide to write your own will using one of these services, here is sample language if you desire to designate a gift from your estate to David Wood Ministries.

Sample Text:

I give, devise and bequeath ____ Percent (__%) of my residuary estate to David A. Wood Evangelistic Assn Inc, 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization located in Columbia, SC, tax ID 38-2555458, to be used (you may designate “where most needed” or for one or more projects if you prefer).

3. If you included David Wood Ministries in your will, we would like to thank you appropriately and be sure we understand and honor your gift intentions. There is no obligation to do this. But if you would like to send a “Notice of Bequest” letter, here is a sample”:

Sample Notice of Bequest Letter:

In recognition of my strong belief and confidence in its mission, I have made a gift by Will to David Wood Ministries. If I make any change to this provision, I will notify David Wood Ministries of such change. I understand that all information listed below will be kept in confidence unless I authorize its release.
